CLSS Development Is Complete: Access, Resources, and What’s Next

Final CLSS Code – Released in July

The final version of CLSS was released in early July and is already being deployed by agencies across the country. In addition to all the features you’ve had access to since April, this release includes important functional updates:

  • Audit tracking for template indicators

  • Linked data visualization directly within Templates, Assessments, and Reporting (no more separate tabs!)

  • On-demand health checks for data library items

  • Compatibility with the latest Esri Experience Builder, ensuring long-term use

  • Bug fixes and 508 accessibility improvements

The final version is available on the CUSEC website: you can request deployment and follow the steps that come in the CLSS download package.

What if I have questions about the new code? The CLSS partners at the Central US Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC) will manage access to the CLSS deployment code and any questions users have. They can be reached at [email protected]. CLSS remains available at no cost to all government agencies within the US.

What happens to CLSS now? Development of the tool is complete, but your ability to use CLSS is just beginning. CLSS is designed to be downloaded and deployed on your own system, independent of outside funding.

Training Videos & Resources

NEW training videos are here! Each feature is covered in 2-3 minutes — watch one or watch them all, then share them with your team. They’re linked below and are available along with the CLSS User Guide on the new “Learn” tab on the CLSS site.

Integrations extend CLSS value: visit the Learn tab to find instructions and guides for integrating your CLSS data with various platforms like Microsoft Teams, WebEOC, and data integration with Esri.

Still Need to Deploy?

There’s no time like the present! Deploy now and be prepared for your next disaster. Contact [email protected] with any questions so you can get set up fast.

CLSS Transition to CUSEC

CLSS was developed by G&H International Services, Inc. under a DHS Science & Technology (S&T) contract, in partnership with the Central US Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC).

CLSS will continue to be available even after the contract ends:

Thanks to Users Like You!

The CLSS development process is now complete, and the final tool is already being adopted by agencies nationwide. Over the past three years, more than 1,000 emergency management professionals contributed their time, expertise, and insights through workshops, pilot testing, and real-world exercises. Your feedback directly shaped CLSS features — from mobile responsiveness and improved data sharing to accessibility updates and enhanced reporting.

Because of your partnership:

  • As of July 1st, 70 agencies have already downloaded CLSS, covering communities with more than 50 million residents.

  • CLSS earned recognition at the 2024 National Homeland Security Conference (Best in Show Award).

  • Agencies are already using CLSS to improve incident awareness during hurricanes, floods, cyber attacks, and other disasters.

Your contributions have made CLSS the effective, user-driven tool it is today. On behalf of the entire project team at G&H International Services, Inc., thank you for helping shape a system that strengthens preparedness and saves lives.
